Advocacy

Joshua Wright in Firvana Legacy Forest on Green Mountain

Forests, trees, and native plants cannot speak for themselves when decisions are being made about them. Our advocacy targets decisions being made, especially by the state’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR), about timber sales on public lands within Kitsap as well as in neighboring areas. KEC has especially supported Trust Land Transfers and other policy tools.
