From 2022 to 2024, KEC’s advocacy focused on Kitsap County’s Comprehensive Plan update, a community and county-wide plan update required by the state’s Growth Management Act (GMA). KEC helped the public express a strong voice for a healthy environment as it intersected with decisions about housing, land use, transportation, economic development, parks, recreation, capital facilities and more. Work now continues on the implementation of these plans.
