Joshua Wright

Joshua Wright is an award-winning filmmaker and a youth forest activist, working for the preservation of the more than human world. He works as the Program Director of the Legacy Forest Defense Coalition and leads our work in Southeast Alaska. In British Columbia, he uses satellite imagery to track the logging of endangered old-growth forests and works with lead researchers to protect endangered species living in threatened old growth forests. He was a part of the Fairy Creek Blockade which facilitated the largest active civil disobedience in Canadian history. Joshua lives in rural Mason County and has been involved with group groups, including Mason County Climate Justice, Fridays For Future Namibia and Extinction Rebellion.

Please join the Kitsap Environmental Coalition, the Legacy Forest Defense Coalition  (LFDC) and Bremerton City Councilor Anna Mockler in a discussion about the steps needed to protect WA Dept. of Natural Resources trust lands near Green Mountain in central Kitsap County. Joshua Wright of LFDC will describe the natural areas, explain the current political situation, and present ideas that concerned citizens can use to protect the environment for future generations.
