Why I like to walk is a physical, social and creative process.

Going on Native Plant walks (forest bathing) with my friends is something I look forward to weekly. Taking photos of the flowers, trees , ferns, mosses and lichens is my greatest joy, besides spending time with my grandsons.

I love to walk in the Heritage Forests around Kitsap County and photograph the beauty we find. Being in nature with like minded people fills my cup! We are learning from and supporting each other, meeting new people and getting exercise all in a few hours; it's good for the mind and body.

That's Why We Walk!

Trails in North Kitsap

We want to hear from you, we invite you to share your stories about the places in Kitsap that mean the most to you. It could be your favorite walk on a park trail, discovering something amazing when you least expected it, or just pausing to breathe deeply. We'll select and post new stories each week. By submitting your story and photos you are giving KEC permission to post them on our website, newsletter and social media.
