PGFHP North Entrance Grand Opening Celebration

Thursday - May 28, 3-6pm, 2026


Kitsap County Parks is hosting a celebration for the new North Gateway Trailhead at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park. The event will feature remarks, guided walks, and family activities at 3800 NE Carver Drive. Directions: turn left/south off 104, west of Port Gamble town, follow drive to parking lot at the top of the hill.

 

The afternoon schedule of activities includes:

3:00 PM: Welcome and opening remarks.

3:30 PM: Birding adventure with the Kitsap Audubon Society.

4:00 PM: Guided forest walk focusing on restoration. <<<

4:30 PM: Mountain bike ride park demonstration


Attending the Grand Opening Celebration is a great opportunity to hear about the many ways that you can experience Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park and meet others who care about this park.
